Today marks 5 days since completing my 60 day juice fast. I would like to say that I’ve made perfect choices, food-wise, since adding foods back into my diet. I haven’t made horrible choices, but can see where I could have made better ones.
It’s all a learning thing, right?!
Natalie and I have been keeping up with our ShapelyGirl Fitness workouts. And we’ve been going to the health club to work out on the elliptical and swimming. It feels good to have energy and ambition! It’s also nice to have my own personal cheerleader with me all the time to encourage me to keep going in Natalie.
The best thing about our ShapelyGirl Fitness workout is that we can tailor it to the time and ambition that we have on any given day. If we are feeling especially ambitious, we can go for the biggie and really get a great workout in. Or, if we’re short on time, we can do a shortened version and still feel like we’ve accomplished something great for the day. Most days, we tend to the basic workout and feel really stretched and motivated when we are done. I love that it’s as easy for me to do the workout as it is for my 13 year old daughter. There are no annoying songs to get really old. The women in the DVD are “real” and not super-models that I could never aspire to be.
I am not a huge fan of my photo being taken. I know, I know….I need to get over it because it doesn’t matter. My children should have photos of themselves with their Mama. And when I see photos, I see the person I value, not the way they think they look. It’s something for me to get over. I’m working on it…
In that regard, here is a new photo I’d like to share with you. I am combining a photo from when I started this journey until this past Saturday. I’d like to point out that, in the second photo, I am wearing a shirt that I have never previously worn. I have bought many pieces of clothing over the past few years, never trying them on before buying. I dislike trying clothes on even more than having my photo taken (both for the same reason, though!). So, when I’d see something on clearance in what I thought was my size, I’d buy it, take it home, finally try it on and be discouraged when it didn’t fit. To be able to pull those same clothes out now and actually be able to wear them is WONDERFUL!
Okay, I’m stalling now…but here goes!
Whew! There ya go. Be gentle with your comments, please.
I hope you’ll check out the other fabulous women who are on this getting fit and healthy journey with me. I am blessed to be a part of two wonderful groups of ladies! Be sure to check out their progress as well!
